In the isolated town of Clancy, Montana, singer/guitarist Dan Murphy and guitarist Justin Benner met in the third grade, and then spent their formative years writing and recording music together.
During the next decade, Murphy and Benner played over 400 shows across the States, released a record in Japan, and built a loyal regional following before making their exodus to Los Angeles in 2010. While Benner refined his skills as the band’s engineer and producer, they began playing with drummer Tim Spier in August of 2010, who they had met while touring with his former Drive-Thru Records band, Say No More. Together, they wrote the songs that would be come The Goodnight’s debut EP “Keep Control.”The Goodnight remains active in the Los Angeles music scene and on the road, touring regionally and showcasing at festivals such as South By South West in Texas, as well as having music featured on major television networks E!, MTV, TLC, and VH1. The band recently released a self-produced, digital single titled “In The Moment” on May 7th, 2013.

The Goodnight’s debut CD “Keep Control” is now available in all digital outlets.
