BASEMENT BOOGALOO with LEO ZERO, Nick Shaw and Ed Cotton // DOORS 8pm - 2am // FREE before 10pm / £5 after // We’re bringing LEO ZERO to The Star of Bethnal Green for Basement Boogaloo’s London launch party. Leo’s Freddy Mercury re-work, Message of Love, has been destroying discerning dancefloors since its release earlier in the year, and the first album from his band A Mountain of One has fast become a balearic / cosmic classic. In his time, Leo has run the cult disco edit label Easter Bay, produced artwork for Junior Boys Own, Heavenly Records and Dazed & Confused, and been a founder member of revered London house crews Soulsonic and Faith. His current projects include Acid Life, a selection of retro-futuristic Chi-town grooves; a compilation of edits soon to be released on K7!; and remix work for the likes of Florence and The Machine, Jack Penate and Metronomy. Given Leo’s acid house ethos and in-depth musical knowledge, this is bound to be a banger.
