The Paul Carlon Octet featuring Christelle Durandy: 9PM; Ellington/Strayhorn meets los Van Van. + DJ Medina spinning Afro-Latin & Brazilian soul music & salsa in between the live acts. Deep Tone Records, a new player on the indie World/Latin/Jazz music scenes, presents a night of Deep Tone artists. Deep Rhythm, Deep Improv, and Deep Roots will be on display in a dynamic mix of brass, woodwinds, body percussion, the African mbira, Yoruban chants, and freewheeling improvisation.
