"When I was a child, my first experience seeing Shakespeare performed live was at Great Lakes Theater Festival here in Cleveland. The show was “The Merry Wives of Windsor” and I got the tickets as a birthday present from my 6th grade teacher, Mary Krogness. I was 11, and the experience changed me forever. I love Shakespeare, and we are lucky here in Cleveland to have one of the finest regional theater companies in the country performing Shakespeare and the classics every single year. But in order to keep artistic treasures like Great Lakes Theater Festival in our home town, they need our support. So, I’m putting on one more “Jon Leiken & Friends” show. This year, we’re telling the story of Cleveland, Ohio - the greatest city in the world - through speech and song. Please join us on January 16 and support Great Lakes Theater Festival." –Jon Leiken
Special Guests Include: Broadway’s Michelle Federer (“Wicked”), actor/writer/director David Wain (“The State,” “Stella,” “Role Models”), Shaker Heights Mayor Earl Leiken, CNN Legal Analyst Avery Friedman, radio legend Larry Morrow, the all-lawyer rock band "Rule 11 & The Sanctions," Mr. Robinson’s 2nd grade class (Mercer School), the Shaker Heights High School Acapella Choir and the Shaker Heights High School Acting Ensemble.
