Born in Flint and by now a Michigan institution, Mr. B (Mark Braun) is a rare living link to the early days of blues and boogie piano, having learned directly from legends like Little Brother Montgomery and Blind John Davis. Each year he stops in for a Thanksgiving weekend concert, and it always brings something new from this local treasure. Mr. B has enriched the local scene by collaborating with a wide variety of blues and jazz musicians. Tonight’s show marks the release of "Back to Back Live," a new concert DVD featuring Mr. B along with Detroit boogie titan Bob Seeley -- who will also be on hand! When these two artists get together, incredible pianistic feats and reach-around madness are bound to ensue. Joining Mr. B and Bob Seeley will be the Royal Garden Trio, a Michigan group steeped in traditional and gypsy jazz. It’s a traditional boogie and jazz blowout, and if you stop by and pick up a few copies of the new DVD, you’ll B almost done with your holiday shopping!
