Who the fuck are Mother & Son? Mother & Son are a two-piece… they play loud, dark, dirty garage blues with a slathering of surf and rockabilly… somewhere between The Cramps and The Black keys, with stabbings of early Nick Cave. They released their debut EP in February 2009, recorded completely by themselves, and are making their second trip to Melbourne before they start working on their first LP due to be released end of January 2010. Joining Mother & Son at The Tote on Saturday November 21 at 5pm will be Dead Man on Deck with their dark folky punk, the hallows of Tote’s Front Bar will be forever scarred. It’s free bitches!
