In 1974, Elizabeth "Connie" Converse packed her belongings into a Volkswagen and disappeared, leaving behind a haunting body of recorded music. Now, thirty-five years later, her songs have been restored, re-mastered, and made available for the first time in the 17-song collection How Sad, How Lovely.
Just over one month from what would be her 85th birthday, Lau derette Recordings is proud to present an intimate evening of music at New York’s legendary Joe’s Pub in tribute to this singular artist. The show features new arrangements and adaptations of Connie’s songs as performed by:
