Monthly funk/soul/latin jazz session with me DJing and the DEBUT UK GIG of the Haggis Horns with their new awesome female singer Lucinda Slim...she was in the 1990s r&b/African music fusion band Zap! Mama and is also seen regularly spinning deep funk 45s at Keb Darge’s legendary Deep Funk session at Mamdam Jojo’s in London......the band will be previewing songs from their just finished 2nd CD, out in the new year......a special gig since they haven’t played in Leeds since the spring and its the UK debut for their vocalist Lucinda Slim....PLUS guest DJs Simon Hodge (producer Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show) and Jim Bathgate (Departure Lounge Edinburgh)...expect a night with a whole hunk of funk!
