We have returned after a journey with consequences as far-reaching as they are profound. Months ago, we ventured into the remotest, most barren landscapes this planet could present us, and for weeks ritually abused our meaningless mortal shapes with the sole purpose of loosening the grasp of nature’s vulgar forces on our immortal consciousnesses. We have perfected arcane arts so ancient that their underlying philosophies and means of practice have been co-opted and corrupted by arts that are themselves so ancient as to suffer the same fate at the hands of newer, but still, similarly forgotten arts.
To place yourself within line-of-sight and earshot of our performance (on the evening of November 5th at Parkside Lounge in Manhattan) as we unfurl the many secrets this journey has imparted upon us will be the last in a series of ill-conceived and foolish decisions that have formed the entirety of your adult life. What at first will appear to be an enjoyable and satisfying presentation of thought-provoking, yet eminently accessible songs written in the "popular" fashion (adorned with tastefully moving electronic and synthesizer-driven flourishes [relatively safe examples of this work can be found at http://myspace.com/thequalia ]), will eventually reveal itself to be the awakening of a power so grand that it will forever change your perception of yourself, your surroundings, and your own perceptions. Particles that God himself never intended to exist will travel into our world from a distant and nightmarish future to try to prevent this performance from ever happening, but even their power will prove to be insignificant in the face of its stunning brutality.
If, when the performance is over, you are still able to exist, we will probably be hanging out and getting drinks somewhere.
