Wild Light will be playing in support of the Student Disaster Relief Network (SDRN).
The proceeds of this show will go to the Touro Law Center’s Student Disaster Relief Network. The major focus of this student group has been traveling to the gulf coast during the fall, winter and spring breaks to address the legal quagmire left in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Aside from obtaining the release of illegally detained prisoners, providing proper notice to displaced owners of condemned homes and researching the rights of a community left with contaminated groundwater, Touro Law students have also assisted in the creation of a free legal clinic in the lower 9th ward, created an instructional pamphlet detailing all permit requirements for properly rebuilding damaged homes, and much more.
