DIVERTING DUO are a girl and a boy based in Sardinia (Italy). They play minimal-pop dressed with a little bit of polite folk rock. They have created their very personal definition of electric indie pop which is gentle, naked, charmer and oneiric, using a wide range of instruments. The Duo started in 2007 in a very simple way, one voice and two guitars. It is soon enriched with organs, cello, glockenspiel and some toy keyboards. The effect is an ethereal balance between Sara’s daydreaming voice and Gianmarco’s warm guitar lines. In 2008 Diverting Duo recorded a demo called “Low Bunnies”; it received good reviews and it made some Italian and English fanzines intrigued about this band. During the Low bunnies promotion they performed in Sardinia, Italy and England. The next fall diverting duo will release their first album “lover/lover” for Zahr records.
