Mad Monk, Ltd recording artists and 2010 Grammy Ballot nominees Beatnik Castle featuring thee lovely singing sensation Francillia and the indescribable Quincy B will be performing for their musical friend Jeremy Gloff’s at the latter’s CD release party on Saturday, November 14 at the Ritz in Ybor. Gloff sang back-up vocals on Peasants of Posture’s “I Touch the Sky,”a track that was on the 2007 Grammy Ballot. “Jeremy is a talented musician and songwriter and when he asked us to help out, Francillia and I immediately said ‘yes’” says the enigmatic Quincy B.
Part of Square One’s Magnum Opus series, the event commemorates the release of Gloff’s 16th studio CD 21st Century Love Songs, an opus best described as Gloff’s most serious collection of songs yet. The release party will feature performances from over 20 artists and musicians culled from the Bay Area’s rich and diverse musical community. Other special musical guests scheduled to perform are Ronny Elliot, Christopher Tolan (Beuvilles), Drew Cutler (Lush Progress), Melissa Fair (Irritable Tribe Of Poets), Pat Maue (Grey AM), Jimmy Reese (Tomorrow), Hunter Oswald (The Sheaks), Scott Harrell (Nessie), Matt Slate (King Of Spain), Ken Spivey, Becca Nelson, Michele Aguis, Travis Brown, Tom Kersey (Lush Progess), Okesene Tilo, James Ratliff, Dallas Swoveland, Heather Songster, Thor Eric Paulson, and Leah Connolly (aka DJ Mane).
