Public Property is a 9-piece reggae band out of Iowa City. While Public Property’s main
inspiration is the sound of 60s and 70s Jamaican reggae, the band fuses hip hop, reggae, ska,
soca, dub, hawaiiana, and rock/pop elements into its music. While harmony, vocals, and a
textured rhythm section drive the bands music, its one love/one world message completes it,
promoting humanism and understanding in a complex world.
The 2009 Friday Night Concert Series Presented by the Iowa City Press-Citizen. All Friday Night Concert Series events take place on the Pedestrian Plaza, Weatherdance Fountain, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
