John Hughes’ magical comedy about how playing hooky for a single day can produce a lifetime’s worth of adventure. Matthew Broderick is Ferris, a guy who knows the value of a day off.
The MidWestOne Bank Free Movie Series is an outdoor film series held on The University of Iowa Pentacrest. The old screen from the historic Englert Theater hangs from the columns of Macbride Hall providing the perfect outdoor theater. Family-friendly, feature length films are screened for all to enjoy, free of charge. Live entertainment and activities begin around 7:00 pm followed by the movie of the week. Audience members are invited to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
