A Place called Los Pereyra (in movie theaters 2010) CAN/ARG, with a score by gary marlowe, will have its international premieres in Montreal and Amsterdam this november.

"A place called Los Pereyra" is a little gem of a movie, singular and honest, very much in the tradition of subtle documentaries such as philibert´s "etre et avoir". directed by Argentine wunderkind andrès livov-macklin, this movie does have some potential to come home with awards.
the score by gary marlowe for "A Place called Los Pereyra" is distinctively unusual... a wild ride into the Argentine Hinterland. all recorded live in berlin, venezia and milano, with a very special sounding blüthner grand piano from 1917, on which marlowe once learned as a child. topping the bill is guest musician piero salvatori, known as violoncellist with uri caine.
