You may expect the opening night of Cimatics festival 2009 to be a kaleidoscopic experience. As diverse as the festival is the opening night. The night starts early, at sunset (16h48) to be precise when we switch on the sped up version of Stefano Cagol’s Flu Power Flu installation. For Cimatics festival opening night the neon letters will blink 5 times as fast as normally. Later that night AGF brings a very poetic downbeat performance from her new album Einzelkaempfer. And after that we roll into a musical and audiovisual party with performances by Ben Butler & Mousepad from Berlin and the Canadian TVestroy, an urban porn performance by the Strap-on dildoS and the new laser installation Vector by Boris & Brecht Debackere. The night starts early but goes on late, closing down at the Flu Power Flu with the whirl-winding tunes from Baleine 3000 and Cimatics after-party at the infamous Box Club.
