3/20/2010 8:00 PM at The Honey Festival No. 5
TBA, TBA, TBA
Cost: TBA
The Saints and Goddesses Social Club celebrates the 5th Annual Honey Festival, a celebration of the arrival of spring, a celebration of desire, pleasure, and the triumph of good over evil. The Honey Festival is based on an ancient ritual documented in the Kama Sutra, where it is known as the Kama Festival or Holi. It is celebrated at a time when the seasons change, when winter gives way to spring, the day celebrates theme of good over evil. Human beings who remained enclosed indoors against the cold winds, and hibernating animals emerge to see a new world of color and gaiety. Hearts are filled with hope and thoughts turn to love.
Remember: Bring your underwear to the Honey Festival.
Every year after the Honey Festival we take the Honey Bear to an undisclosed location where it is ceremonially set ablaze in a bonfire. A pair of panties or boxer/briefs is left by each Social Club member and tossed into the fire. Guilt, and bad memories, pains, anything that is negative is placed symbolically in the fire. The warmth of the flames in a cold night feels therapeutic and there is closure on things past.
Saints & Goddesses Social Club members in the inner circle are all invited to be a part of this cleansing, but anyone on the outside can participate by dropping their underwear on stage.
If you are interested in being considered for the aftershow ritual, you can shoot us a request and be nominated by an Active S&G Social Club member and approved by the Council anytime before the event.
S&G is not an elitist organization, but we do have a strict NO HATERS policy. It’s all about Love, Respect, and Trust with us.
Amor Y Paz,
