Love Music Hate Racism uses the positive energy of music to fight the racism peddled by organisations like the BNP. Tonight Pete Bentham & the Dinner Ladies give it loads of positive energy, delivering kitchen sink punk rock n roll from Liverpool to the Upper Valley. Pete (guitar/vocal), Marigoldy (bass/vocal) and Gabrielle Fray Bentos (drums/vocal) are not at the subtle end of the spectrum, but they’re certainly entertaining – “hopelessly lovable … a way more fun version of Pulp, and a Victoria Wood sketch all rolled into one”.
