Solstice time again and it’ll be a while till festy season. So gather round Elves and warm up your festive feet (without the camping or weather!). Warblefly. Noun. 1. Any of several large hairy flies of the family Oestride whose lavae grow under the skin of cattle, causing warbles. 2. A group more or less hairy musicans, playing raucaus traditional music at a festival near you. Fiddles, melodeons and mandolas will be ringing out with a flurry of fingers, over a pounding rythmn section of drum bass, electric and acoustic guitars. Top this off with vocal uproar, drunken choruses and sweet harmonies. This band are up for it, so you best be ready! Creating a sonic cushion around the band will be Mad Mick (Kulu) and his Morrocan mayhem plus Anton the Cosmo Naughty. Cosmo Naughty shall be delighting us with a fantastic Festival mash up, as one of our favourite Dj’s. He’s not played here since the early nineties with the Cabbage Head Kids, when he was a local lad. So come dance, drink cake and eat tea , with a splattering of booze if you wish.
