BUILDINGS- A bit of Bombay Bicycle club and some Foals. Which is not to say their sonic equivalent is a troupe of Indian johnnies on two wheels and some baby horses.. no, no, no….His voice sounds a bit like Bright Eyes chappie. All rather enjoyable actually…
YOU ALREADY KNOW- Massive nod to Mogwai with the melodic drama of The Fall. Some artcore metal influence in there too. Soaring guitars and pounding drums, all very nice.
THE VOID- Ballsy post Biffy Clyrotastic math rock. Keep their Scottishness in tact in the vocal cadences. Lots of hits on their myspace speak volumes as to the quality here. Nifty artful alt rock with proggy twiddly stop start bits and full blown gutsy rock out bits. Good band. As BBC man Vic Galloway sez ’Tight as Hell!’
BARMAN’S FAULT- The Dead Weather approach Oasis’ riffology as The Stones get the shots lined up…with fine female front singer.
