British Composer of the Year, sound artist and turntablist Janek Schaefer has created a brand new work for the A Thing About Machines Festival in Coventry using samples from Tangerine Dream records and will include an FM transmitter.
So, we need you to bring an FM radio/boombox so you can act as part of the PA system.
Be prepared to be lifted out of the aisles on a magic carpet of sonic textures.
Accompanying the inimitable Janek Schaefer are Modulate, Birmingham-based sonic and visual manipulators who will transform the sound, feel and look of the beautiful mediaeval church.
Also performing are Threep who combine circuit bent toys and gizmos with beautiful sonic textures and affected sound. And starting the evening in style will be Ben Ramsay performing a brand new composition that utilises sounds of canal boats and jet planes.
As with all our events the venues are small and intimate which means that they can sell out so please buy your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
