This is a new venture, a periodic showcase of music and poetry at an innovative art space in east Kansas City. The art is very interesting, primarily neon although not exclusively. The music I can vouch for, with Rick Malsick hosting and playing. On opening night I will be there, as will Forrest Whitlow and Elaine McMilian, as well as poets Dexter Gunnel, David Hughes and Iris Appelquist. I have not heard the poetry but I am anxious to do so. For a slightly different Friday night experience, try this. The shows here are produced by POUNCE marketing, with the valuable cooperation of Thomas Cobian and The Writers Place. BYOB.
