The Glad

11/14/2009 8:00 PM at (Sat) WE MAKE PEACE charity night : The Moon Music Orchestra/ Findlay Brown
The Gladstone, 64 Lant St, London, SE1 1QN
Cost: free

As part of our WE MAKE PEACE charity weekend we’re proud to present Kings of the Glad, Warriors of Soul, Keepers of the Folk, The Moon Music Orchestra. A six-man-and-one-woman whirlwind of freak-folk-soul-brother-and-sisterhood, they’re the spawn of Dexy’s and Devendra’s one night stand. It’s epic, it’s emotional, and it’s f**cking fantastic, don’t miss it. Findlay Brown has just returned from a successful tour of America, where he was promoting his new Bernard Butler produced album ’All That I Have’. Hailed as a ’classic’ by The Guardian, you’ll hear echoes of Roy Orbison, Dion, The Beatles and more intwined within his perfectly crafted songs. He’s recently finished a support tour with Duffy, so to catch him in a secret Glad gig is a serious treat...A Glad originator, and one time MMO member, he’s been playing here in the Moon Music’s pub since the very beginning- a special night all considered. Music begins round nine, bar open til midnight.
