Our friends the Black Box Griots are hosting a bi-weekly open mic night at The Exchange in downtown LA featuring some of the best spoken word poetry this city has to offer. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month you can come by to The Exchange and catch performances by any of the following brilliant spoken word artists: The Bus Stop Prophet, Mike the Poet, Tendai Nyachoto, Black Spinach, Luluminous, Richard McDowell, Beanie Maniphesto, Twin the Skid Row Poet, Juan Bueno, Anonymous, Jigsaw, The Full Moon Poet, and possibly... you? Musical contributions are provided by various members of the Amar Collective. Black Box Griots is brought to you by the Legacy Project, The Talking Drum Open Mic, The Bus Stop Prophet, and a mess of other good people.. oh yeah, and Amar too.
