This concert celebrates the launch of the Cork musician’s new album The Lights of Ranzanico. It features original compositions from uilleann piper Diarmaid Moynihan and guitarist Donncha Moynihan fused with music from Galicia, the US and Brittany with contributions from gaita maestro Anxo Lorenzo, virtuoso British jazz drummer Nic France and top traditional musicians Christy Leahy and Deirdre Moynihan. Diarmaid and Donncha Moyhnihan have worked with many of traditional music’s finest artists including Lunasa, Flook, Michael McGoldrick and Alan Kelly among others since first arriving on the scene as part of the influential band Calico. This promises to be a wonderful concert with some very special guests promised.
