Eric Darby is a nationally-recognized writer and performance poet, who has competed in two Individual World Poetry Slams and five National Poetry Slams. He has been ranked in the top twenty in two NPS’s, and was one of seven National Finalists in 2005.
Eric is a past host of the Detroit and Lizard Lounge Poetry Slams. His work has been included in four spoken word anthologies and two jazz/poetry albums released by Poetry Jam/Rounder Records. His unique full length CD/chapbook project The Secret Dream-lives of Engineers was released by The Wordsmith Press in February 2006.
Eric has toured the United States and is a former member of the Lizard Lounge and Cantab Slam Team and a finalist in the National Poetry Slam. This will be Eric’s fifth feature at the Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam. Eric is also an extremely talented engineer
