Tribute to Lord Kitchener!
I will propose a unique aspect to show how kitchener’s contributions to Steelpan music have engraven a positive and lasting impact on Trinidad &Tobago and Steelpan music lovers throughout the world. I propose that February 2010 be selected and dedicated to Lord Kitchener compositions for the Steelpan instrument. Furthermore all Steelpan personnels must perform these two songs; Pan in A minor and Pan in the 21st Century on Feburary 11 the day when he died in Trinidad. Given his achievements, he is clearly worthy of this merit.
August 31 2012-Pan Across the World in tribute to 50th year of the Independence ofTrinidad and Tobago! The Land of the SteelPan/Steelband. All Steelpan Players in the World must perform the official version of the National Anthem of T&T at
4:00 PM Trinidad time. To raise awareness about the origins of the Steelpan, as a symbol of Freedom and Cultural Expressions and as symbolic as the Statue of Liberty.
