Very cool pairing of some great songwriters & performers! FRED KOLLER has been called the Americana music’s Jimmy Webb for the diversity and quality of his songs. He is better known these day as the owner of Rhino Books. Rhino was voted Nashville’s best used independent bookstores in this years Scene poll. Fred’s five solo albums were critically praised, especially his tribute to close friend Shel Silverstein who he wrote over fifty songs with. Koller’s songs have been recorded by hundreds of artists, Stoney Edwards, Keith Whitley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Nanci Griffith , Lowell Fulsom and Canadian guitarist Jeff Healey who took Koller’s song Angel Eyes all the way to the top of the pop charts. A multiple BMI millionaire award winner Fred’s collaborations appear on cd’s by John Hiatt, Tim O Brien, Danny O Keefe, Peter Case, John Prine and a who’s who of country artists. On Nov 20th Fred returns to Norm’s River Roadhouse an intimate club just down the road from Cumberland Heights that is known for it’s excellent sound and food. His opening act will be Bright/O’Brien plus one featuring the other Woody’s grandson.
